Portland, Oregon quintet Fruition have announced the upcoming release of Labor Of Love, a new studio album due April 22 on Randm Records. The LP was self-produced and engineered by Justin Phelps (Amanda Palmer, Jolie Holland, Chuck Prophet).
Labor Of Love comes three years after the release of the last Fruition studio album, Just One Of Them Nights. The album is said to display “the band’s growth from a rootsy, string-centric outfit to a full-fledged rock band with an easy but powerful grasp of soul, blues and British Invasion era pop.” Anders Beck of Greensky Bluegrass, Jeremy Garrett of The Infamous Stringdusters and Steve Swatkins of Allen Stone have contributed to Labor Of Love.
Fruition will soon embark on a North American Spring Tour in support of Labor Of Love. The band will make a quick pit stop in Colorado this weekend and then heads out on the road for visits to 41 cities across the country including Fruition’s return to Red Rocks and a performance at the Northwest String Summit in their home state of Oregon.
