Free Download: Bruce Springsteen Shares Official Chicago Recording

This evening Bruce Springsteen was supposed to perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City, but thanks to Winter Storm Jonas the show was postponed. The Boss has a kind gesture for fans as he has shared MP3s of the official recording from this past Tuesday’s The River Tour stop at Chicago’s United Center as a free download.

Springsteen and the E Street Band opened the Windy City concert with The River outtake “Meet Me In The City” followed by a complete performance of the 1980 double album. The New Jersey native switched it up after The River by offering tour debuts of “Night,” “No Surrender,” “Cover Me,” “She’s The One” and “Human Touch” before ending the main set with “The Rising” and “Thunder Road.” The Boss’s encore was similar to opening night in Pittsburgh with the exception of a cover of the Eagles’ “Take It Easy” played in honor of Glenn Frey.
