Just Another Day In The Grohls’ Lives: Dave Grohl & Daughter Violet Grohl Duet At Foo Fighters Show In Scotland

When Foo Fighters were on their 2019 European Summer Tour, frontman Dave Grohl introduced his daughter Violet Grohl as “a new Foo Fighter in the family” before the father and daughter performed together. Last night while on their current European tour, Foo Fighters were again joined by Violet Grohl who accompanied the band for a song during their concert at Hampden Park in Glasgow, Scotland.

Violet Grohl has performed with her dad and his band several times over the past five years. The 18-year-old vocalist also contributed to the Foo Fighters’ 2023 studio album, But Here We Are, singing on the track “Show Me How.”

Dave Grohl addressed Violet and the Glasgow audience while introducing his daughter. Speaking before the crowd at the +50,000 capacity soccer stadium, Dave said:

“Hi Violet, what’s happening? Just fucking playing a stadium huh? Just another day in the Grohls’ lives. We’ve done this before but not a lot. I don’t think we’ve played this song together in a fucking year, maybe? It’s been a long time. This is a song that’s off of our new record that Miss Violet and I duet on and we wanted to do it special for you tonight. It’s called ‘Show Me How’ and it sounds like this.”

The Grohls then led the other Foo Fighters through a performance of “Show Me How,” which was the first time it appeared on a setlist this tour. Another tour debut came earlier in the set when Dave Grohl played an acoustic version of “Skin And Bones” on a secondary stage while accompanied by on accordion. Jaffee also played a portion of the unofficial anthem “Flower Of Scotland” during a medley performed with band introductions in the middle of the set.
