Foo Fighters shared “Show Me How,” the third preview of their forthcoming album, But Here We Are. Frontman Dave Grohl harmonizes with his daughter, Violet Grohl, throughout the dreamy new single.
But Here We Are is due out on June 2 via Roswell Records/RCA. The 10-track effort marks Foo Fighters’ 11th studio album and first since the tragic death of drummer Taylor Hawkins. Foo Fighters previously released “Rescued” and “Under You” from But Here We Are, which was produced by the band with longtime collaborator Greg Kurstin.

The serene “Show Me How” deals with the grief of missing loved ones who’ve passed away. Not only have the Grohls/Foo Fighters lost Hawkins but Dave’s mother Virginia died last year as well. “Where have you gone?” sings Dave and Violet Grohl to start the song. “Where are you now? And who will show me how?” belts the pair in the chorus. Their voices blend perfectly, displaying the chemistry of a father and daughter built over a lifetime.
Foo Fighters dropped the song just after kicking off their 2023 Tour in Gilford, New Hampshire. The show was the band’s first concert with touring member Josh Freese on drums. Violet Grohl made a guest appearance last night, as she joined Foo Fighters on Medicine At Midnight track “Shame Shame.”
