Update: Grohl’s surgeon, Dr. Lew Schon, has a connection to the jam scene as his son is none other than Pigeons Playing Ping Pong lead guitarist Jeremy Schon.

Last night Foo Fighters’ summer tour continued at Fenway Park in Boston, where the band was joined by Dave Grohl’s orthopedic surgeon for a White Stripes cover.

See you soon Fenway!

According to Mashable’s report, Grohl’s surgeon –Dr. Lew C. Schon -took his turn in the spotlight to lead the Foo Fighters on “Seven Nation Army.” As you can imagine, the Boston faithful sang along with the song’s familiar melody and even shouted “Lew” as the doctor left the stage.

Watch how it went down thanks to fan-shot footage from Kara Sassone:

Sunday’s show also featured Godsmack vocalist Sully Erna leading a cover of “School’s Out” by Alice Cooper. Foo Fighters now head to Japan for Fuji Rock.
