Northwestern Indiana funk outfit The Diggity have announced details of their forthcoming new album Pumphouse, co-produced by Ryan Farag and featuring his brother, Umphrey’s McGee percussionist Andy Farag. The fourth album by the Hobart, Indiana collective is expected later this month.

The Diggity recorded Pumphouse at producer/engineer Ryan Farag’s home studio in Winfield, Indiana. Farag’s brother Andy was on hand to contribute percussion to the album’s single, “True North.” Pumphouse is the  band’s first album to feature new guitarist, Matt Van Vlymen, who replaced Alex Bales in the fall of 2013. Bales contributed guitar to the Pumphouse collectively written track, “Calm Collective.”

The Diggity plans to tour in support of Pumphouse with a brief run of shows in June, kicking off with a record release party on June 6 at Four Fathers Brewing in Valparaiso, Indiana featuring two sets with The Horn Stache All-Stars sitting in. The show will also include the release of the band and brewery’s collaborative “True North” Jamaican Morning Stout beer, The Diggity will play one additional gig at the Franklin House for the Valparaiso Popcorn Festival After Party on September 12 before going on indefinite hiatus.
