Funk collective Lettuce will headline the famed Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, Colorado this Friday, June 10 alongside a lineup that includes reggae legends The Wailers, hip-hop icons Pete Rock and Rahzel and electronic DJ Manic Focus. In advance of Friday’s show at the iconic outdoor venue, JamBase is pleased to offer an exclusive live video premiere of “Sounds Like A Party” performed by Lettuce with frequent guest Nigel Hall at this year’s Summer Camp Music Festival in Chillicothe, Illinois.

Recorded for last year’s studio album Crush, “Sounds Like A Party” was one of the 15 tracks making up the band’s fourth LP and like the Summer Camp rendition featured Hall on vocals. Bassist Erick “Jesus” Coomes shared these thoughts on the song and the upcoming night at Red Rocks:

This song is about your friend describing a situation to you and you agreeing with that situation as being a rager in which you would like to participate. We therefore would like to describe a rager at the serenely and profoundly breathtaking Red Rocks in Morrison Colorado this Friday Night June 10th where you can be free to express yourself while listening to music performed live by Manic Focus, Rahzel (of The Roots), The Wailers (playing Exodus), Pete Rock, all your friends smiling at you. And a very special set by Lettuce …

We hope this sounds like a party to you.
