Emmitt-Nershi Band Announce The Release Of New Country Blues
Bluegrass Supergroup Will Also Tour In Support The Album

The Emmitt-Nershi Band will release New Country Blues on September 29 on SCI Fidelity Records. Drew Emmitt and Billy Nershi exemplify the forward-thinking modern bluegrass musician. As linchpins of two legendary jambands – Drew with Leftover Salmon, Bill with The String Cheese Incident – both men have traveled the world and played in front of hundreds of thousands of people.

New Country Blues is a record of big ideas and subtle musical touches. The songs for the record were written over a long weekend, “We wrote the songs in three days,” Drew said. “We holed up in this house and we just sat and came up with these tunes. It was a really smooth process. We bring out a lot of good things in each other musically, and we do well playing off each other.”

The Emmitt-Nershi Band is rounded out with Andy Thorn on banjo and Tyler Grant on bass and guitar. Guests on the record include Keith Moseley (String Cheese Incident) who played bass on “I Come from the Country” and Jason Carter (Del McCoury Band) on fiddle.

The band will play NedFest in Colorado then kick off their 22-date tour in Boston on September 24 and continue touring through the fall.
