Elle King continues to address an incident that took place early this year during a Dolly Parton tribute at the Grand Ole Opry, this time in song form. “Banned from The Grand Ole Opry” tells the story of the singer-songwriter being “hammered” at Dolly Parton’s birthday celebration.

King joined a constellation of stars in a musical celebration for Parton’s 78th birthday at The Opry in January. The singer had too much to drink, causing her to slur and forget lyrics. King was quick to get on top of the mistake.

“To everyone sending me love because I’m human and already talked to Dolly, I love you. To everyone who told me to k*ll myself I love you too,” King wrote in a social media post at the time of the incident.
