Watch Eggy Jam On Phish Classics At Tree House Brewing Company
See the Connecticut-based quartet deliver a near-complete “First Tube” and fit elements of “Down With Disease” and “Chalk Dust Torture” into “Burritos El Chavo 2.”

Eggy returned to Deerfield, Massachusetts on Friday (January 10) and Saturday (January 11) for their third annual appearance at concerts honoring the anniversary of Tree House Brewing Company’s Taproom. The quartet paid tribute to Phish on Saturday by performing a nearly complete “First Tube” and working elements of “Down With Disease,” “Chalk Dust Torture” and “Bathtub Gin” into their improvisations.
Eggy — guitarist Jake Brownstein, keyboardist Dani Battat, drummer Alex Bailey and bassist Mike Goodman — opened Saturday’s show with an adventurous “12 Pounds Of Pain” and then looked to their 2024 studio album, Waiting Game for “A Moment’s Notice.” The Connecticut-based four-piece then fit fan-favorite “Shadow” within a well-jammed cover of Eric Clapton’s “Lay Down Sally.” The “Leatherback” that followed bled into the end of “Shadow” to punctuate the first set.

More inventive sequences were on tap for the final set of the weekend. “Yuck!” gave way to “Ricky Gervais” to form a +30-minute pairing. Eggy then took “Burritos El Chavo 2” back into “Yuck” and used the title track from Waiting Game to get Phishy. Brownstein shined as the band worked through “First Tube.” Eggy then jammed on “Down With Disease” and “Chalk Dust Torture” before reprising “Burritos El Chavo 2” and concluding the “Figure It Out” they started one night earlier.
Dani Battat showed off his impersonation of a Brit during the extended intro of Eggy’s “Tom Corn Walker” encore. Plenty of teases were fit into the 20-minute finale including “A Moment’s Notice,” “12 Pounds Of Pain,” “Lay Down Sally,” “Yuck!,” “Bathtub Gin” and “Chalk Dust Torture.”
