By Scott Bernstein Feb 10, 2017 • 7:15 am PST

Guitarist Dweezil Zappa has announced his first ever series of spoken word concerts. Zappa’s What’s In A Name? run will find him telling stories, answering questions from the crowd and discussing his father Frank Zappa’s legendary career all with guitar accompaniment.
Dweezil will preview the run with a special show at Silo’s in Napa, California on February 26. He then begins the series of shows in July. Zappa will play City Winery venues in Chicago on July 7, Nashville on July 8, Atlanta on July 9 and New York City on July 11.
“I look at it what I do like an old-school Italian family business,” said Dweezil. “I want to carry on a tradition in a way that respects my father’s intentions as a composer and his integrity as a person. At the same time I have my own music to create and share with people. The best way to carry everything forward is to play the music live and share stories.”
