Dream Theater Confirms 1st North American Tour With Mike Portnoy In 15 Years

Dream Theater confirmed their first North American tour with drummer Mike Portnoy in 15 years. The prog-metal pioneers will embark on a 31-date trek across the United States and Canada to celebrate their 40th anniversary.

The North American tour kicks off on February 7, 2025, in Philadelphia and concludes on March 22 in New York City. Along the way, Dream Theater will visit major cities including Nashville, Atlanta, Houston, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Toronto.

February 12 sees the group in Biloxi (Mississippi), before they move on to Texas with performances in Houston on February 14, Dallas on February 15 and San Antonio on February 16.

The tour continues westward with shows in Phoenix on February 18 and Highland (California) on February 19. Dream Theater then plays Las Vegas on February 21 and Los Angeles on February 22. Northern California gets two shows with San Jose on February 24 and Sacramento on February 25. The Pacific Northwest leg includes Seattle on February 27 and Portland on February 28.

March kicks off with a performance in Reno (Nevada) on March 2, followed by Salt Lake City on March 4 and Denver on March 6. The band then heads to the Midwest, playing Chicago on March 8 and Cleveland on March 9. Dream Theater crosses into Canada for shows in Toronto on March 11 and Montreal on March 12.

The final leg of the tour includes stops in Wallingford (Connecticut) on March 14, Boston on March 15, Rochester (New York) on March 17, Wheeling (West Virginia) on March 18, and Cincinnati on March 19. The tour wraps up with performances in Washington D.C. on March 21 and New York City on March 22.
