Steely Dan co-founder Donald Fagen has recruited a quartet of young musicians he’s been working with over the past few years to form a new band called the Nightflyers. Donald Fagen & The Nightflyers will embark on a debut tour this summer that will hit more than 20 U.S. cities.

Fagen and his band are expected to play songs from Donald’s solo albums, Steely Dan hits and as the Rock & Roll Hall Of Famer describes, “some swell surprises.” The Nightflyers features Connor Kennedy (guitar, vocals), Lee Falco (drums, vocals), Brandon Morrison (bass, vocals) and Will Bryant (keyboards, vocals).

Donald Fagen & The Nightflyers kick off the tour with two nights at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York August 3 and 4. From there, the group heads to Florida for shows in Clearwater, Orlando and St. Augustine. The tour continues with stops in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Kansas and Texas. A West Coast run brings the U.S. portion of the tour to close with September concerts planned for Portland, Seattle, Saratoga and San Francisco. Fagen and his band will also play the Yokohama Blue Note Jazz Fest in Japan after the U.S. tour.

Tickets for the U.S. shows go on sale starting Friday, April 28 at 10 a.m. local time (except Cincinnati and New Buffalo at 11 a.m.; Port Chester, Atlanta, Louisville and Milwaukee at noon; San Antonio on May 5th at 10 a.m.; and Portland on May 15th at 10 a.m.).
