The Disco Biscuits Perform In Richmond: Pro-Shot Full Show Video
By Andy Kahn Nov 17, 2019 • 10:33 am PST

The Disco Biscuits brought their current tour to a sold-out The National in Richmond, Virginia on Saturday night. While the band did not debut any new songs — like they had done the previous two nights — two of the recently added originals were performed again, alongside several Bisco classics.
Guitarist Jon Gutwillig, bassist Marc Brownstein, keyboardist Aron Magner and drummer Allen Aucoin started the show with “7-11,” which went unfinished as the quartet dropped into the rarity “Commercial Amen.” The scarcely played Conspirator song was followed by “Caterpiller” that surrounded the second performance of “Hero” — one of the new originals debuted at Thursday’s tour opener. The set finished with an unfinished “Mindless Dribble” that transitioned into the second half of “Digital Buddha.”
The second set opening “I-Man” was left incomplete ahead of a segue into “Helicopters.” Another new one from Thursday’s opener, “Anthem,” came next with Magner sprinkling in some “Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairy” in the ensuing improvisation. “The Champions,” “Tricycle” and a return to land “Helicopters” brought an end to the second set. Bisco came back to encore with “The City.” The band returns to The National tonight and a free live stream is available on their YouTube Channel. Watch Saturday’s concert below:
