Disco Biscuits Honor 1999 Irving Plaza Debut In 2014

As jam fans know, the setlist never tells the whole story and though the quartet played the songs in the same sequence as that fateful night in 1999, the improv was most certainly different. Back in ’99 Sammy Altman was behind the kit, while Allen Aucoin holds down the drum role these days. Yet, the Irving ’14 opener was a nice throwback to one of the most acclaimed years in the band’s history. There was one exception to the setlists between the Irving debut in 1999 and last night’s show -while the second set of the ’99 performance ended with “Magellan” > “Bazaar Escape” > “Magellan,” the Biscuits didn’t return to “Magellan” from “Bazaar Escape” on Thursday night.
Here’s the setlist from last night’s show:
Set One: Spaga > The Very Moon > Plan B, Little Lai
Set Two: House Dog Party Favor, I-Man (w/ Shem Rah Boo teases) > Dance Of The Sugarplum Fairies > I-Man > Spaga, Magellan > Bazaar Escape
Encore: Jigsaw Earth
