Death Cab for Cutie have detailed an upcoming Fall Tour. The band originally founded in Bellingham, Washington in 1997 will also release a new album in August.
DCFC included a snippet of a new track in a video announcing their newly confirmed North American Tour. The album will be the first without co-founding member Chris Walla who left the group following the release of their most recent LP, 2015’s Kintsugi. Longtime DCFC members Ben Gibbard, Nick Harmer and Jason McGerr were joined by new members Dave Depper and Zac Rae (both touring members since 2015) to record the currently untitled album.
The band’s Fall Tour starts September 24 in Eugene, Oregon and continues across North America through mid-October. Death Cab For Cutie has additional international and U.S. dates planned in June, August and November. A band pre-sale for tickets begins Wednesday, May 2 at 10 a.m. local venue time. The band will donate $1 from each ticket purchased through their website to Seattle-based homeless charity The Aurora Commons.
