This fall Grateful Dead members Bob Weir, Mickey Hart and Bill Kreutzmann will be joined by John Mayer, Oteil Burbridge and Jeff Chimenti for a tour billed as Dead & Company. The group had already sold out NYC’s Madison Square Garden for performances on October 31 and November 1 and today Dead & Company have announced a third MSG show and this one is a freebie.

Dead & Company has teamed with American Express to host a free show at Madison Square Garden on November 7. Head to this page for your chance to score two tickets to the free performance. No purchase is necessary and those entering must be able to attend the show on the 7th. AMEX is giving away a total of 10,000 tickets. Entries will be accepted until October 8.

The November 7th show will be webstreamed live as part of the American Express Unstaged series of broadcasts. Famed filmmaker Brett Ratner will direct the webcast.

“People who want to hear the music get to hear it for free and we get to promote our music and share it with people,” guitarist Bob Weir told The Associated Press and added, “We’re about halfway in and rehearsals are going well, if I may say. We’ve been through 45 or 50 tunes and I’m not going to tell you that we have them entirely locked down, but we have a good handle on them.”
