Dawes Announces 1st Leg Of 2018 North American Tour

Dawes has confirmed an extensive 30-date North American Tour in which the band will play two sets each night. The dates span August through November and come in support of the group’s forthcoming studio album Passwords.

Dawes will spend most of August opening for Jeff Lynne’s ELO. The band’s first headlining date will take place at The Rustic in San Antonio on August 12. Guitarist Taylor Goldsmith, drummer Griffin Goldsmith, bassist Wylie Gelber and keyboardist Lee Pardini kick off the September portion of the run at the Palace Theatre in St. Paul on September 7. From there, the quartet performs in Iowa, Michigan, Indiana, Pennsylvania, Maine, New Brunswick, Connecticut, North Carolina, Tennessee, Georgia, Nebraska, Colorado, Nevada, California and Oregon over the course of the month.

The band begins October at the Showbox in Seattle on the 1st. Dawes also will play shows in Eugene, Petaluma, San Diego, Las Vegas and Tucson in October. November features dates in Austin, Dallas, Houston, Oklahoma City, Tulsa, Birmingham, Cincinnati, Chattanooga and Richmond. The tour is currently scheduled to conclude at The Underground in Charlotte on November 14. A presale for the newly added dates is available here ahead of the general on-sale Friday, June 8 at 10 a.m. local.

Passwords is due on June 22 via the band’s HUB Records imprint. Dawes tapped Jonathan Wilson to produce the LP. Watch the video for Passwords track “Living In The Future” below:
