David Gilmour Welcomes David Crosby & Graham Nash In London

By Scott Bernstein Sep 24, 2015 7:10 am PDT

David Crosby and Graham Nash each contributed to the past two albums from Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour, so fans were waiting to see if the legendary pair would perform with Gilmour at any of the shows on his first tour in nearly a decade. Last night Gilmour began a run of shows at Royal Albert Hall in London, where Crosby and Nash emerged at three different points to add vocals to a pair of David’s originals as well as a Pink Floyd classic.

Crosby and Nash first came out towards the beginning of the first set to help out on “A Boat Lies Waiting,” the song on Gilmour’s recently released Rattle That Lock which features contributions from the pair. David and Graham returned towards the middle of the second set to back Gilmour on the title track from 2006’s On An Island. Later in the evening, the duo returned once more during the encore on a performance of “Comfortably Numb.”
