David Gilmour Performs ‘On An Island’ For ‘Von Trapped Family’ Livestream Series

David Gilmour shared video of “On An Island.” The clip comes from the Von Trapped Family livestream series the Pink Floyd guitarist and his family conducted during quarantine.

Gilmour has previously shared covers of Syd Barrett’s “Dominoes” and Leonard Cohen’s “Bird On The Wire” from Von Trapped Family. “On An Island” appears on Gilmour’s 2006 solo album of the same name, his first since 1984’s About Face. The Von Trapped Family performance features Gilmour singing and playing acoustic guitar with his daughter Romany Gilmour joining him on vocals.
