Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour is featured in the latest edition of MOJO Magazine and discusses the influence The Beatles had on his career. He also recorded a cover of The Beatles’ track “Here, There and Everywhere” from their 1966 LP Revolver for a companion CD sold with the publication, which can be heard below.

“I really wish I had been in The Beatles,” Gilmour told MOJO. “[They] taught me how to play guitar, I learnt everything. The bass parts, the lead, the rhythm, everything. They were fantastic.”

The CD, titled David Gilmour & Friends, features The Beatles cover he recorded with his son Joe as well as cuts from Gilmour collaborators including Phil Manzanera, Robert Wyatt and The Pretty Things. Gilmour’s new solo album, Rattle That Lock comes out on September 18. He will tour North America in support of the record beginning in March 2016.
