Dave Matthews Band hit Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Friday. The group brought out country star Zac Brown for a cover of Bob Dylan’s “All Along The Watchtower” and also debuted a partial Beatles cover in the latter half of the main set.

Dave Matthews and company launched the concert with “When The World Ends” off 2001’s Everyday. The classic “Satellite” followed ahead of “Madman’s Eyes” appearing on DMB’s recently released album Walk Around The Moon. Before These Crowded Streets companion tracks “Pantala Naga Pampa” and “Rapunzel” were next on the agenda. DMB then offered the title track to Walk Around The Moon.

After Come Tomorrow cut “Virgina In The Rain,” DMB trotted out oldies “Don’t Drink The Water” and “Jimi Thing” with the recently debuted partial version of The Commodores’ “Brick House” tagged on the latter. Walk Around The Moon’s “Monsters” came next. “So Damn Lucky” off Dave’s sole solo album, 2003’s Some Devil, then prefaced “All Along The Watchtower” with Zac Brown.

Brown added electric guitar to DMB’s classic cover of the track off Bob Dylan’s 1967 LP John Wesley Harding, which was recorded in Nashville. Dave handled the first verse while Zac helmed the second before slow-boiling a well-constructed solo that saw the Atlanta native shredding by the end. Brown would also return to the mic for the third verse ahead of a raucous conclusion.

DMB then went it alone for the vintage “#41” before Dave slung on his electric guitar to unveil a partial rendition of The Beatles’ “I Want You (She’s So Heavy).” Matthews handled John Lennon’s main riff and bassist Stefan Lessard reeled off Paul McCartney’s stellar bassline while keyboardist Buddy Strong added some nice piano touches.

The Abbey Road cut then segued into Walk Around The Moon’s “After Everything” followed by “Granny.” Dave, drummer Carter Beauford and guitarist Tim Reynolds then presented “Kill The Preacher” before the full band joined in for companion song “Why I Am.” DMB brought the set to a close with “Louisiana Bayou.” Dave Matthews Band returned to encore with Walk Around The Moon’s “Looking For A Vein” followed by “Grey Street” to cap off the evening.
