Dave Matthews Band rolled out official video featuring the drone light show that accompanied performances of two songs at their The Gorge finale on September 4, 2022. The “drone sky story” took place at the scenic Washington state venue as the septet began their encore with “#34” and “So Right.”

The Gorge traditionally hosts three DMB concerts each year over Labor Day Weekend. Dave Matthews Band had a big treat in store towards the end of their Sunday show this past September. Longtime production designer Fenton Williams teamed with design studio TwoFiftyK to choreograph a series of drones that flew in the night sky above the venue.

Dave Matthews Band kicked off the encore by dusting off instrumental “#34.” The cut from 1994’s Under The Table And Dreaming was played just once — on September 7, 2018 — since 2013. Various shapes and patterns were formed by the drones while DMB worked through the beloved rarity. The group then kicked into “So Right” from their 2001 studio album, Everyday. Fans screamed in delight as the drones created an image of late DMB saxophonist LeRoi Moore and the ensemble’s iconic Fire Dancer logo.
