This year marks the 25th anniversary for the Dave Matthews Band and one of the ways the group will celebrate the occasion is by finally releasing Crash, their second studio album, on vinyl for the first time. DMB has also revealed details of the 38th installment of the group’s Live Trax series of live archival releases which comes from a 1996 tour in support of Crash.

Crash, which was produced by Steve Lillywhite and is the band’s best-selling album, was originally released in 1996. The vinyl version has been newly remastered from the original flat analog tapes. A 2-LP set has been pressed on 180g 12″ vinyl and comes housed in a gatefold jacket that features an eight-page booklet packed with previously unpublished photos of the Dave Matthews Band.

Live Trax Vol. 38 features an official recording of the Dave Matthews Band’s visit to Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC) on June 8, 1996. Crash is well represented by appearances of “#41,” “Jimi Thing,” “Crash Into Me” and more. The extended jam song “#36” is also included as is the band’s cover of “All Along The Watchtower,” among other gems.

Both the Crash vinyl and Live Trax Vol. 38 are due in mid July and are each available for pre-order now via the band’s online store.
