Dark Star Orchestra Extends 2018 Fall Tour & Announces New Year’s Run


Grateful Dead tribute act Dark Star Orchestra announced a 16-date, second leg of their 2018 Fall Tour. The band also confirmed a four-date “Cosmic New Year’s” run that includes New Year’s Eve at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, New Jersey.

Dark Star Orchestra opens the second leg of this year’s Fall Tour at Lowell Memorial Auditorium in Lowell, Massachusetts on November 9. From there, the group makes stops in Northampton, Burlington, Portland (Maine), New Haven, Albany, Peekskill and Concord (New Hampshire). Dark Star Orchestra returns to Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania on November 21 and follows Thanksgiving with a pair of two-night stands in Huntington, New York and Richmond. The band ends the tour with visits to Norfolk on November 30 and Washington D.C. on December 1.

This year’s “Cosmic New Year’s” run begins with two nights at Philadelphia’s Electric Factory December 28 and 29. Dark Star Orchestra then heads to the Wellmont in Montclair on December 30 and 31.
