Grateful Dead tribute act Dark Star Orchestra has laid out their entire touring schedule for the remainder of the year with the announcement of Fall Tour Part 2 and a Cosmic New Year’s Run. The second leg of fall tour includes the band’s 20th anniversary show and DSO’s debut at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. – among other highlights.

Dark Star Orchestra’s Fall Tour Part 2 begins at the Wellmont Theater in Montclair, New Jersey on November 10. The band returns to the venue to kick off their New Year’s Run on December 28. DSO celebrates the 20th anniversary of their first concert (which took place at Marytr’s in Chicago on November 11, 1997) at the Palace Theater in Albany on November 11. From there, the Dark Star Orchestra brings the tour to Peekskill, Northampton, Portland, New Haven, Worcester, Ithaca, Concord and Jim Thorpe, Pennsylvania.

The band traditionally plays the New York City area over Thanksgiving Weekend and this year’s concerts will take place at The Paramount in Huntington on November 24 and 25. DSO then heads to The National in Richmond for shows on November 29 and 30. After a concert at The NorVa in Norfolk on December 1, the group ends the tour at The Anthem in Washington, D.C. on December 2 where they will recreate the Dead’s famed June 14, 1991 show (R.F.K. Stadium).

Dark Star Orchestra’s 2017 – 2018 Cosmic New Year’s Run spans four nights. As mentioned, the group returns to the Wellmont on December 28. Then, DSO visits the Electric Factory between December 29 – 31. On the 29th, DSO will be joined by the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, while Keller Williams (solo) opens on the 30th. Dark Star Orchestra’s New Year’s Eve show will feature three sets.

VIP Packages for the Philly shows are available via CID Entertainment.
