Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country Details Debut Live Album ‘Ryman To Robert’s’

Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country will issue their debut live album, Ryman To Robert’s, in a 5 LP vinyl and digitally on August 28. The Nashville guitarist and his band previewed the record today with a live rendition of “Blame The Train,” off the their 2025 studio effort Horizons.

Ryman To Robert’s traces the evolution of Daniel Donato and Cosmic Country, which also includes keyboardist Nathan “Sugar Legg” Aronowitz, bassist Will “Mustang” McGee and drummer William “Bronco” Clark. The album features the band’s 2025 sold-out show at Nashville’s historic Ryman Auditorium as well as selections from the group’s after show at another storied Music City locale, Robert’s Western World.

Donato, who was brought on as a guitar player for the Robert’s house group The Don Kelley Band after being discovered busking on the street, detailed the significance of playing both venues:

“At the age of 14, I started busking on the street in front of the Ryman, and soon after that, I discovered Robert’s Western World. For 464 shows, I played at Robert’s, and after most shows, I would go and gaze at the majesty of the Mother Church in the late hours of the night. It is said that Nashville is a 10-year town. On the day of performing and recording this live album, it was the 10-year anniversary of my last show at Robert’s, and the first time headlining the Ryman Auditorium. To celebrate this occasion, we’ve did what had never been done on Broadway, by playing a sold-out show at the Ryman and immediately playing a set at the honky-tonk that started it all for me, Robert’s Western World. In a 10-year town, with 10,000 hours under these strings, the cosmic circle was fulfilled, and just about every note of every minute of this day is now ready to share with the world.”

Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country are set to return to the Ryman August 28 and 29 to coincide with the release of Ryman To Robert’s. An option to bundle the album with Ryman presale tickets will become available on May 12 at 10 a.m. CT. General on sale begins Friday, May 15 at 10 a.m. CT.
