Daniel Donato's Cosmic Country kicked off their 2025 Fall Tour with a three-night run at Ardmore Music Hall near Philadelphia over the weekend. The guitarist and his band laced the final concert on Saturday with the standout “Dance In The Desert.”
Daniel Donato’s Cosmic Country recently released the follow up, Horizons, to their 2023 studio album, Reflector. A standout from the latter, the band — Donato, drummer Will “Bronco Clark, bassist Will “Mustang McGee and multi-instrumentalist Nathan “Sugar Leg” Aronowitz — kicked off their Ardmore finale with “Dance In The Desert.”

The band would return to the tune seven more times throughout the show including bookending the first set and encore with the song as well as fitting it within the instrumental cover “Ghost Riders In The Sky.” Watch clips from “Desert Fest” below:
Elsewhere in the concert, Daniel Donato unveiled a cover of the Stan Jones-written, Elton Britt-popularized “Cowpoke.” Check it out:
DDCC also delivered a pair of tracks from the aforementioned Horizons, which arrived on August 22. Falling in the second song slot was “Sunshine In The Rain.” After returning to “Dance In The Desert,” the band offered Horizons‘ “Along The Trail.” As noted, the concert came to a close with a four-song encore that began and ended with “Dance In The Desert,” but also included “Luck of the Draw” and “Sugar Leg Rag.”
