The Chris Robinson Brotherhood and Melvin Seals & JGB featuring special guest John Kadlecik (DSO, Furthur) will team up for a Rex Foundation benefit at The Warfield in San Francisco on June 26.

This Rex Foundation benefit will take place one day before the first of two Fare Thee Well -Celebrating 50 Years Of Grateful Dead performances at Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on June 27 and 28. Rex Foundation was created by the Grateful Dead and Family in 1983 to provide philanthropic grassroots support. The organization, which is named after longtime GD crew member Rex Jackson who tragically died in 1976, aims to help secure a healthy environment, promote individuality in the arts, provide support to critical and necessary social services, assist others less fortunate than ourselves, protect the rights of indigenous people and ensure their cultural survival, build a stronger community and educate children and adults everywhere.

Tickets go on sale this Friday, June 5 at 10 a.m. PT via AXS.com.

Chris Robinson Brotherhood’s Instagram feed has featured a couple of cool shots recently. Check out a photo of famed Deadhead and basketball Hall of Famer Bill Walton with the group’s frontman as well as a pic of Robert Plant and Robinson from last night at The Greek:
