By Scott Bernstein Aug 18, 2013 10:00 am PDT

We’re three shows into Umphrey’s McGee’s co-headlining tour with STS9 and all three gigs have featured collaboration between the two acts. On Thursday night in Louisville, UM guitarist Jake Cinninger sat in with STS9 on a cover of “Sympathy For The Devil.” On Friday night in Indianapolis, STS9 bassist Murph and multi-instrumentalist David Phipps sat in on UM’s show-closing take on “Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 1,” while last night’s show saw all of STS9 and the Liquid Horns help Umphrey’s out on a cover of David Bowie’s “Let’s Dance” in Chicago.
