Cover Alert | The Heavy Pets Tackle Black Sabbath

Late last month The Heavy Pets played a series of four shows at Dunedin Brewery in Florida for the brewery’s spring jam and each night had a different theme. The first show was a “Kinky Reggae Party,” the second was dubbed “Dunedin Rock City,” the third was “Space Disco” while the finale featured a full performance of the band’s Whale LP.

The Heavy Pets aren’t known for playing many covers, which made the shows that much more special as they played songs by Peter Tosh, Bob Marley, The Police, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, Daft Punk and others over the course of the run. Friday night’s “Dunedin Rock City” performance featured a cover of Black Sabbath’s “War Pigs” and the band has shared professionally-shot video of the tune.
