One of the sets JamBase’s Chadbyrne Dickens dug the most at last month’s Gathering Of The Vibes festival featured Steve Kimock and his band. Recent Kimock shows have seen the guitarist augmented by legendary keyboardist Bernie Worrell, drummer John Morgan Kimock, bassist Andy Hess and vocalist Camille Armstrong. Kimock’s set at Vibes contained a cover of Al Green’s “Take Me To The River” with special guest Bill Evans on sax.
