Last night Neil Young played his first of four solo shows at New York City’s Carnegie Hall, and took the opportunity to add a brand new cover to his repertoire, “Needle of Death” by Bert Jansch. The song shares similar subject matter to Young’s own “The Needle And The Damage Done” which he played immediately after. Young delivered two sets and a fantastic selection of songs that spans his recording career. Below take a look at video of the cover as well as clips of “Long May You Run” and “Heart of Gold.”

Young plays Carnegie Hall again tonight.
