One of the more highly anticipated performances at last weekend’s Equifunk Festival took place on Saturday night, when Medeski, Martin and Wood keyboardist John Medeski joined Anders Osborne and his band for a set at the E-Rena. As if the addition of Medeski to the mix wasn’t enough, NYC guitarist Scott Metzger also sat in for the set.

Thanks to YouTuber GuerillaTubes we’re able to watch some of the magic that went down on Saturday night. In this insane version of “Goin’ Down The Road Feeling Bad” Metzger and Medeski strut their stuff with dynamic solos, before Osborne takes over and guides the improv into a dark and powerful space that eventually turns into the Anders original “Had My Reasons.” Check it out…
