Last night, Austin-based blues-rocker Gary Clark Jr. opened for the Dave Matthews Band at the Sleep Train Amphitheatre in Chula Vista, CA. The guitarist emerged during DMB’s set for a scorching cover of “All Along The Watchtower.”

Clark Jr. came out 14 songs into the Dave Matthews Band performance to lend his skills on “Watchtower” -a song he covered with the band last summer as well. In addition to Gary, the DMB was joined by trombonist Lasim Richards for the Bob Dylan cover. Richards returned for the set-closing combo of “Jimi Thing” and “Grey Street.” Our pal
