Cover Alert | Chris Robinson Brotherhood Covers The Stones

The Chris Robinson Brotherhood closed out their second night at the intimate Loma Vista Inn in Big Sur, California on Friday, May 1 with the debut of the band’s take on The Rolling Stones’ “Sweet Virginia.” The second tune of a two-song encore that began with The Black Crowes’ “Appaloosa,” Robinson led his band through the Exile On Main Street classic with apt references to the Golden State.

The CRB also kicked the show off by debuting a new cover, giving their first take on Carl Perkins’ “Boppin’ the Blues.” The prior night saw the band debut Lee Dorsey’s “Get Out of My Life, Woman” at the same California venue.
