Conor Oberst Guests on WTF Podcast with Marc Maron

The always insightful WTF podcast hosted by comedian Marc Maron featured singer-songwriter Conor Oberst on today’s episode. Maron and the Bright Eyes frontman discuss making his first recording in the attic of his family home in Omaha, Nebraska, and many of the various projects Oberst, 35, has been part of throughout his prolific career.

Oberst explains how Omaha-native Simon Joyner influenced his early development and touches on the evolution of his songwriting process, even naming which of his songs is his favorite. They go on to touch on Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, getting a pep-talk from Bruce Springsteen and more, including news that his band Desaparecidos is recording their follow-up to their 2002 debut album.
