Acclaimed guitarist Bonnie Raitt this week canceled several concert dates in order to recuperate from an upcoming surgery. Raitt is expected to fully recover and rejoin the tour with James Taylor on June 22.
Raitt and Taylor have been frequent touring partners in recent years, providing ample opportunities for onstage collaborations. Throughout her career on her own projects or as a guest on others’ records, Raitt has surrounded herself with talent, regularly working with an all-star cast of fellow renowned musicians. This edition of Saturday Stream presents a Spotify Playlist standout collaborations Raitt has participated in during her nearly 50-year career.
The collection begins with Raitt alongside Taylor on a pair of tracks from the latter’s studio releases. What follows are tracks by Little Feat, whose members appeared on several of Raitt’s early records, as well as Taj Mahal who also contributed to early Raitt recordings.
