Coldplay Breaks Out ‘Cemeteries Of London’ After 14 Years At Wembley Stadium

Coldplay are in the midst of a record-breaking, 10-show, Music of the Spheres 2025 Tour-closing residency at Wembley Stadium in their hometown of London. On Wednesday, the band broke out “Cemeteries of London” for the first time since 2011.

Coldplay’s Music of the Spheres Tour has seen the band performing in four acts dubbed “Planets,” “Moons,” “Stars” and “Home.” The band fittingly dusted off “Cemeteries of London” during the “Home” section.

“Cemeteries of London” appears on Coldplay’s 2008 Brian Eno-produced album, Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends. The band performed the song heavily in the years following the record’s release but dropped the tune after 2011.

At Wembley on Wednesday, Coldplay dusted off “Cemeteries of London” for their first time since July 29, 2011 at the Fuji Rock Festival, as per SetlistFM stats. The band offered the song in a stripped down format from their “in the round” C-stage.

Coldplay has kicked off their Music of the Spheres Tour, supporting their two part album of the same name, with “Higher Power” off 2021’s Vol. I: From Earth with Love. The band also included album tracks “Human Heart,” “Infinity Sign,” “My Universe” and “People of the Pride.”

2024’s Music of the Spheres Vol. II: Moon Music saw three performances: “ALL MY LOVE,” “WE PRAY” and “feelslikeimfallinginlove.” Additionally, the band delivered old school favorites like “Yellow,” “Sparks” and “Clocks.”
