‘Clouds: An Ambient Phish Mix’

A fantastic new mix of Phish jams has surfaced on YouTube containing over 100 minutes of deep and ethereal improvisation. Dubbed Clouds: An Ambient Phish Mix, the compilation features bits of jams spanning 1994 to 2015. It starts with a section of the band’s famed Drive-In Jam from their recent Magnaball Festival and sprinkles in improv from such noted performances as the Hampton ’97 “Halley’s,” the Alpine ’98 “Mike’s Song,” “Scents And Subtle Sounds” from Camden ’04 and the Vegas ’14 “Piper.”

YouTuber Curt Lyon shared the mix with the following note, “A (mostly) ambient ebb and flow of Phish jams. It attempts to encompass the range of ambience that Phish covers, which includes peaks out of nothingness, upbeat space rock, and some dark industrial revving, so this is not one that puts you to sleep. Enjoy!” With that in mind, take a listen:
