Chris Robinson Brotherhood Plays Sets Of Bob Dylan & Grateful Dead Covers At Terrapin Crossroads

The Chris Robinson Brotherhood ends the year with a pair of sold-out shows at Terrapin Crossroads in San Rafael, California. On Friday, the band went with covers all night long as they kicked off the performance with a set filled with Bob Dylan covers and played songs from the Grateful Dead/Jerry Garcia repertoires for the second set and encore.
Robinson and his crew began the show with “Crash On The Levee (Down In The Flood)” and then treated fans to “She Belongs To Me,” “Positively 4th Street,” “Goin’ To Acapulco” and “A Hard Rain’s A Gonna Fall.” From there, the Dylan covers kept flowing with “It’s All Over Now Baby Blue,” “Tuff Mama” and “Just Like Tom Thumbs Blues.”
While Terrapin Crossroads proprietor Phil Lesh is in Hawaii, The CRB filled the venue with tunes from the Grateful Dead/Jerry Garcia canon for Friday’s second set. Up first was “Bertha” followed by “Brown Eyed Women.” The band then ran through “Big River” ahead of “Sugaree,” “Catfish John” and “Mr. Charlie.” Next up was “They Love Each Other” and a “West L.A. Fadeaway” set-closer. The CRB then said farewell with a “Big Railroad Blues” cover.
