Childish Gambino Announces The New World Tour Dates & Releases Surprise Album
A new Childish Gambino album, Atavista, arrived alongside details of a massive world tour.

Donald Glover’s Childish Gambino musical persona will embark on The New World Tour later this year. WILLOW and Amaarae will support segments of the extensive tour.
Childish Gambino’s The New World Tour will begin in North America with Willow opening the shows. The leg starts on August 11 in Oklahoma City and spans through an October 3 concert in Chicago.

The tour proceeds with stops on August 12 at T-Mobile Center in Kansas City and August 14 at Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee. The run rolls into Columbus, Ohio for a show at the Schottenstein Center on August 15, and on to Detroit to play Little Caesars Arena on August 17. The New World Tour continues with performances at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on August 18, PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh on August 20 and Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia on August 21. Additional concerts are slated for TD Garden in Boston on August 23 and Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on August 24.
Childish Gambino is scheduled for two consecutive nights at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on August 26 and 27. The tour moves to Washington D.C. at Capital One Arena on August 29, and then to PNC Arena in Raleigh, North Carolina on August 30. The tour moves into September with stops at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville on September 1, and later in Texas with shows at Toyota Center in Houston on September 8, Moody Center in Austin on September 10 and American Airlines Center in Dallas on September 11.
The tour progresses with shows at Ball Arena in Denver on September 13, Footprint Center in Phoenix on September 16 and a two-night stint at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles on September 18 and 19. The tour then moves to Chase Center in San Francisco on September 21, Rogers Arena in Vancouver on September 23, Moda Center in Portland on September 24 and Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle on September 25. The North American leg continues with a return to Canada for concerts at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary on September 27 and at Rogers Place in Edmonton on September 29.
A final run of the first leg of the tour goes into October with stops in Saint Paul, Minnesota at Xcel Energy Center on October 2 and in Chicago at United Center on October 3. The New World Tour will then take The New World Tour to Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Amaarae will support those shows.

Along with announced The New World Tour, Glover surprise released a new Childish Gambino album entitled Atavista. Featured guests popping up across the unexpected album’s 11 tracks include Ariana Grande, 21 Savage, Ink, Kadhja Bonet, Young Nudy and Summer Walker.
Glover posted a message that shed light into the new album, calling Atavista, the “finished version” of the 2020 Childish Gambino album, 3.15.20. According to Glover, an “all new” Childish Gambino will be released this summer.
