Chick Corea and Béla Fleck are currently touring in support of The Enchantment, the first-ever studio collaboration between the legendary jazz pianist and banjo virtuoso. The album captures the astonishing interplay between these two master musicians. Fleck elaborated on the experience by stating that the CD is “one of my greatest experiences as a musician, playing with my hero, Chick Corea.” Chick returns the compliment by stating, “It’s totally unusual to hear a banjo played that way. Béla has taken the instrument and the tradition of the banjo and brought it up as a seriously virtuoso instrument.”

The Eastern Music Festival’s Fringe Series, in association with Greenfield Productions, is proud to announce the Triad Jazz Concert of the Year. On Monday, March 17 (St. Patrick’s Day), Greensboro, and the rest of the Triad, will be lucky like the Irish, as these Grammy award winners – 20 combined will perform as an acoustic duo at the historic Carolina Theatre in downtown Greensboro.
