Catskill Chill Music Festival Announces Second Phase Of 2016 Lineup

The 2016 Catskill Chill Music Festival will take place at New Minglewood campground on September 23 – 25 in Lakewood, Pennsylvania. Following last month’s initial lineup announcement, today organizers have revealed the second phase of the lineup for the seventh annual event. There’s plenty of news to share as not only has the lineup been expanded, but a bevy of the collaborations Catskill Chill is known for have been detailed as well as the event’s first-ever onsite pre-party.

Joining the lineup are funk legends George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, jamtronica supergroup Electron, Thievery Corporation’s Rob Garza (DJ Set), funk orchestra Turkuaz, jamgrass stalwarts Cabinet and many others. Mike Gordon, Greensky Bluegrass, Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass, Break Science, Goldfish, Perpetual Groove, Deep Banana Blackout, Kung Fu, The Werks and Particle are among the Catskill Chill ’16 acts previously announced.

You can always count on Catskill Chill organizers to put together interesting collaborations and 2016 will continue that trend. Dopapod and Turkuaz will join forces for Dopakuaz Does Yacht Rock, while Pink Talking Fish and Kung Fu will take on the music of Prince and David Bowie. Additionally, Particle and The Werks will collaborate as PartiWerks and the weekend will also feature a Chillfam Allstars Thriller Tribute.

As mentioned, Catskill Chill will host an onsite pre-party at New Minglewood the night before the festival on Thursday, September 22. Today, the lineup for the pre-party has been announced and features two sets of Twiddle along with Jimkata, Aqueous and TRAKSTAR.

Tickets and cabins are currently on sale via the festival’s website. Early bird ticket prices have been extended until Friday, June 10 at midnight ET.
