Catskill Chill Music Festival Announces Initial 2016 Lineup

The 2016 Catskill Chill Music Festival will take place at New Minglewood campground on September 23 – 25 in Lakewood, Pennsylvania. Organizers have revealed the initial lineup for the seventh annual event.

Topping this year’s bill will be Mike Gordon, Greensky Bluegrass and Keller Williams’ Grateful Grass. The Phish bassist will be on hand with his five-piece band featuring keyboardist Robert Walter, drummer John Kimock, percussionist Craig Myers and guitarist Scott Murawski. Also performing at this year’s Catskill Chill will be Break Science playing both a duo set and live set with members of Lettuce, along with sets from Dopapod, Perpetual Groove, Deep Banana Blackout, Kung Fu, The Werks, Particle, Zach Deputy, Ryan Montbleau, Orgone, The Nth Power, The Main Squeeze, Pink Talking Fish, TAUK, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Roosevelt Collier’s NY Get Down, Tom Hamilton’s American Babies and several others. More acts will be added next month.

Catskill Chill is known for the exciting tribute sets it hosts and it appears that trend will continue in 2016. The Heavy Pets will reprise an ’80s tribute they debuted earlier this year at AURA, while American Idol finalist Elise Testone will lead a Led Zeppelin tribute and Lespecial will honor Primus.

Along with the planned musical performances, Catskill Chill includes free camping at the private New Minglewood which will also feature indoor movie theaters, indoor and outdoor spaces for yoga, art, wellness workshops, a farmer’s market, crafts and food vendors, a nightly communal bonfire, an open mic. and more. For the first time organizers will host performances on an outdoor main stage while the B Stage and Club Chill stages will stay covered venues.
