The Capitol Theatre Announces 2018 ‘The Complete Last Waltz’ Initial Lineup

An impressive array of musicians will come together at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York on Saturday, November 17 for The Complete Last Waltz. The concert honors The Band’s famed farewell concert held on Thanksgiving Day in 1976 at San Francisco’s Winterland Ballroom. Organizers of the event, which returns after a one-year hiatus, have confirmed the initial lineup of performers for The Complete Last Waltz ’18.
Joe Russo (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead), Kevin Morby, Scott Metzger (Joe Russo’s Almost Dead, WOLF!), Katie Crutchfield (Waxahatchee), Sam Cohen (Yellowbirds), Binky Griptite (The Dap-Kings), Jeff Chimenti (Dead & Company) and Nels Cline (Wilco) are among the artists set to help re-create The Last Waltz at The Capitol Theatre in Port Chester on November 17. Marco Benevento, Craig Finn (The Hold Steady), Meg Duffy (Hand Habits), Dave Dreiwitz (Ween, Joe Russo’s Almost Dead), Matt Vasquez (Delta Spirit), Josh Kaufman (Bob Weir’s Campfire Band), Alecia Chakour (Tedeschi Trucks Band), Stuart Bogie (Superhuman Happiness) and Nicole Atkins are also aboard for the tribute. The Parkington Sisters, Jon Shaw, Kenny Siegal, Jordan McLean, Eric D. Johnson, Raymond Mason, Andy Cabic, Steve Marion, Martin Perna, Jocie Adams, John Alteri, Eric Slick, John Roderick and Matt Trowbridge round out the initial lineup.

The Complete Last Waltz was first held in 2012 at San Francisco’s The Warfield Theater. In 2013, the event moved to The Capitol Theatre, which also hosted additional installments in 2014 and 2016.
