Bust Out Alert: moe. Brings Back 80s One Hit Wonder
By Scott Bernstein Oct 10, 2015 • 11:50 am PDT
On Friday moe. kicked off a two-night stand at the House Of Blues in Boston. The band both opened the first set and closed the second set with “Rebubula” and dusted off one of the only non-holiday covers moe. has recorded for one of their studio albums.
In 1983 Scottish rock band Big Country scored a hit on both sides of the Atlantic with “In A Big Country.” moe. debuted a cover of “In A Big Country” on October 13, 2000 at The Fillmore in San Francisco and played it nine more times over the next two years. The quintet also recorded their take on the song for the 2001 studio album “Dither.” Following a performance of “In A Big Country” at the All Good Festival in 2002, the song disappeared for the group’s rotation. moe. brought back “In A Big Country” at the Summer Camp Music Festival in 2013, but then shelved the tune again until they busted it out as part of the first set last night.
