BT ALC Big Band Stacks Lineup With Jennifer Hartswick & Others For JamBase 25th Anniversary Concert
The 18-piece band kicks off the celebration on Thursday, August 17 at Sally O’Brien’s in Somerville!

JamBase’s 25th Anniversary Quadranscentennial Silver Jubilee featuring four nights of music at three venues kicks off this Thursday, August 17 with the BT ALC Big Band at Sally O’Brien’s in Somerville, Massachusetts.
Led by trombonist Brian Thomas and trumpeter Alex Lee-Clark, the BT ALC Big Band catalog of original repertoire encompasses funk, soul, hip hop, afrobeat, reggae and jazz styles, combined with a rotating cast of Boston’s heaviest hitters.
Special guest trumpeter Jennifer Hartswick is part of the stacked lineup BT ALC Big Band lineup at Sally O’Brien’s where the ensemble has a monthly residency that they generously pushed back one week to be part of JB25.
Experiencing the BT ALC Big Band live is always an incredibly mind-blowing experience fueled by tight arrangements, virtuosic solos and a deep groove provided by their rhythm section. Tickets for the Thursday night kickoff will be available exclusively at the door.
Joining Hartswick and Lee-Clark are fellow trumpeters Bijon Watson and Doug Olsen. Thomas will be joined by fellow trombonists Clayton DeWalt, Brian Paulding and Rob Krahn. The saxophone section will be made up of Pete Levesque, Alex Gordeev, Mike Tucker, John Bean and Ben Whiting
Accompanying the horns will be Jeffrey Lockhart and Steve Fell on guitars, Sam Gilman on organ, Peter MacLean on drums and Yahuba Garcia-Torres on percussion. Watch the BT ALC Big Band in action taking on “Egyptian Secrets” by Lettuce’s Adam Deitch below:
JamBase’s 25th Anniversary Quadranscentennial Silver Jubilee moves to Boston Harbor Distillery this Friday, August 18 for a performance by Boston’s Club d’Elf. The ensemble led by Mike Rivard is also celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. Come out early to see an opening set by Jennifer Hartswick and Nick Cassarino.
Hartswick will also be part of the party this Saturday, August 19 as we head down the South Shore to Soundcheck Studios in Pembroke. A triple-header at Soundcheck Studios will get going with an opening set from pianist Holly Bowling and a performance by guitarist Ron Artis II. A sold-out Umphrey’s McGee concert at Soundcheck Studios this Sunday, August 20 rounds out JamBase’s 25th Anniversary Quadranscentennial Silver Jubilee. Tickets remain for the other three celebratory concerts.
