Bruce Springsteen Sits-In With Little Steven & The Disciples In New Jersey

E Street Band guitarist Stevie Van Zandt is currently touring in support of his just-released new solo album Soulfire. Saturday’s Little Steven & The Disciples show at the Count Basie Theatre in Red Bank, New Jersey featured a guest sit-in by Van Zandt’s band mate Bruce Springsteen.
The evening featured Van Zandt offering several selections from Soulfire, which came out this month and marked 18 years since the guitarist’s last solo album. According to Variety, The Boss was brought onstage by Van Zandt to perform his classic “Tenth Avenue Freeze-Out” between performances of Southside Johnny’s “It’s Been A Long Time” and “I Don’t Want To Go Home.” The Jersey-native also stuck around for a cover of Marvin Gaye’s “Can I Get A Witness.”
