Bruce Springsteen Shares Tempe 1980 Free Download

Earlier this month Bruce Springsteen released The Ties That Bind: The River Collection, a box set documenting the creation of the famed 1980 studio album The River. Video from most of a Bruce Springsteen & The E Street Band show at Tempe’s ASU Center in 1980 was included within the box set. The Boss has shared audio of the tracks from the November 5, 1980 concert in Tempe that aren’t featured in The Ties That Bind: The River Collection as a free download.

The 10 songs available for free MP3 download via Live.BruceSpringsteen.net were mixed by Bob Clearmountain and mastered at Gateway Mastering. This new compilation along with the live tracks found in the box set give us a complete recording of Springsteen’s visit to Tempe in 1980. “Backstreets,” “Candy’s Room,” “Darkness On The Edge Of Town” and “Independence Day” are among the songs included in the hour’s worth of free music offered up as holiday gift by The Boss. The compilation is also on sale as lossless files, HD- Audio or on CD.
